Embracing Autumn: A Season of Progress and Preparation

Here in the Northern Hemisphere, the sun is setting on summer and we are preparing ourselves for the embrace of autumn. For some, like my 13-year-old daughter, this is a celebrated change – pumpkin spice chai latte season! For others, it’s also a time of preparation – pulling out the coats, gloves, hats and boots.

For ASTCT, this upcoming season is both -- a time for celebrating our work and preparing ourselves for so much to come.

You have an incredible line up of ASTCT opportunities to connect, collaborate and delve into the remarkable progress we've achieved across the entire spectrum of treatment. These same avenues provide you the chance to prepare yourself for what is the growing, evolving field of hematopoietic cell transplantation and cellular therapy.

What’s ahead for ASTCT and you?

2023 AcCELLerate Forum: Creating a Sustainable Ecosystem of Cell and Gene Therapy

Mark your calendars for October 2-3, 2023, for the 2023 AcCELLerate Forum, a two-day event uniting advocates, industry experts, researchers, and healthcare providers. Together, we'll share diverse perspectives, prioritize patient needs, and explore collaborative opportunities in the cell and gene therapy field. Join us for educational sessions, dynamic discussions, and advocacy opportunities to drive innovation and sustainability.

Clinical Education Virtual Conference (CEC)

Happening live on Thursday, October 19 - Friday, October 20, the Clinical Education Virtual Conference (CEC) promises a deeper understanding of diagnostic evaluations and therapeutic treatments for complications of hematopoietic cell transplantation and cellular therapies.

If are an advanced practice provider (APP), fellow/trainee, or nurse, this event is thoughtfully designed to elevate your knowledge and expertise in these crucial areas.

Conference on Relapse After Transplant and Cellular Therapy (HSCT²)

Join us at the ASTCT + EBMT 6th Int'l Conference on Relapse After Transplant (HSCT²) on November 10 -11 in Los Angeles. Explore critical topics like relapse in hematologic malignancies post-transplant, including HLA loss in leukemia recurrence, preventative strategies with approved drugs, FLT3 inhibitors, and CD19 CAR T cell therapy for ALL and NHL.

ISCT – ASTCT Cell Therapy Training Course

The 2023 ISCT – ASTCT Cell Therapy Training Course (CTTC) will occur on October 23-27, 2023, at the University of Pennsylvania. Stay tuned for the 2025 program in Fall 2024. This course offers extensive training in cellular therapy, open to Fellows-in-Training and Junior Faculty in the BMT and Cellular Therapy field. Applications for 2023 are now closed.

The application deadline is September 28, 2023. Research areas include HCT and cellular therapy, and awardees will be notified by December 1, 2023.

Celebrate and Prepare!

Whether you're an advocate, an industry expert, a researcher, a physician, an advanced practice provider, a fellow/trainee, or a nurse, these events touch every corner of our field. In these moments of transition, we invite you to join us in shaping the future of hematopoietic cell transplantation and cellular therapy.
