A new study in the Pakistan Journal of Medical Sciences, MRD is a potential indicator of whether or not a patient is likely to replase. Researchers used a group of 362 pediatric patients (age one to 17) who were treated for B-lympholastic leukemia (B-ALL) at Indus Hospital in Pakistan. They evaluated the association between MRD status and certain prognostic risk factors after both induction and consolidation.
